Pre-K

Prekindergarten Program

Our Pre-K Program focuses on kindergarten readiness, social finesse, and mastery of gross & fine motor skills. This program is filled with a more complex structure of language, art, literacy, math, science, and exploration.

Key learning domains are woven into every aspect of Frog Street’s curriculum for pre-k, and weekly instructional plans are easy to follow and implement with fidelity. Integrated STEAM projects are incorporated to promote problem-solving and beginning coding skills.

In this classroom, active and enthusiastic children can refine and expand their skills and knowledge.

A majority of classroom time is devoted to active learning. We build on basic concepts and expand on knowledge of letters sounds, recognition of sight words, print concepts, letter writing, and early spelling through phonics, distinguishing shapes and colors, telling time, and other so many other skills. Math development includes patterns, number recognition, counting, and basic addition and subtraction.

Each day at Bright Kids Child Development Center, our teachers provide opportunities for independent discovery, cooperative learning and outdoor playtime for your pre-kindergartener. They also ensure pre-kindergarteners have joyful, appropriate, and meaningful learning experiences that lead to success in school and in life.

It is important to highlight that we work hard to establish a more structured routine to help establish stability and consistency that children need to feel sure of themselves and move toward the scheduled environment of school.
